The fast rising insecurity, which have been causing daily loss of lives and property, remains one big issue fighting many Nigerians. And the worry has been worsen by the fact that despite huge budgetary allocation and measures to reduce the ugly trend, it has grown to assume new dimensions and threatening the continued existence of the nation.
It was do to this violent trend that Southeast governors met last Sunday in Enugu. The meeting took place at Enugu Government House, which was their first meeting since the conclusion of the 2019 general elections. the meeting was practically meant to review developments in the country. The fast rising insecurity in the land topped their agenda as they discuss on ways to achieve enduring solutions to the problems.
The meeting was chaired by Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi, Abia State governor , Okezie Ikpeazu, Enugu state govornor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Anambra State Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke and Imo State counterpart, Gerald Ironna.
